Sundae Media is Declan Fox and Bryan Rodrigues.  Between them, Bryan and Declan have over 25 years of experience defining and creating products and services for industry leaders such as Nike, Reebok, Sony Music, IDG, Broderbund and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing.

 

Declan Fox

Prior to founding Sundae Media, Declan was Executive Producer at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where he oversaw product development for the company’s Broderbund and Learning Company software lines.  During his tenure there, he was responsible for numerous product launches under the Print Shop, PrintMaster, Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing, and Kid Pix brands. 

Previously, he was Director of Product Management at Sony’s 550 Digital Media Ventures unit, where he took operational roles within various user-generated content and music startups.  Declan has also held product management roles at International Data Group’s PC World and InfoWorld business units, with responsibility for email newsletter publishing and premium content development. 

Declan graduated from Harvard University in 1994, magna cum laude.

Bryan Rodrigues

Prior to founding Sundae, Bryan served as the Senior Director of Consumer Brands at Riverdeep, with responsibility over the entire consumer catalogs of The Learning Company and Broderbund. Bryan oversaw the development and execution of brand and product strategies for award-winning brands Reader Rabbit, The Oregon Trail, Carmen Sandiego, Mavis Beacon, the Print Shop and PrintMaster. During his time with Riverdeep, Bryan managed the successful migration of the retail business to an external partner, while maintaining profitability and market share in key categories.  

Bryan’s experience prior to Riverdeep includes time in Strategic Consulting with the McKenna Group and Landor Associates, where he worked with a variety of domestic and international clients to identify strategies for connecting with their customers and growing their businesses. His career also includes international product and brand management roles with such leading firms as Nike and Reebok in Asia. 

Bryan obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia, graduating with Honors in Marketing and holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business, from UC Berkeley.
